CORONA is a well-balanced bull sired by Alvin-PP out of one of our favorite brood cows with a lifetime average calving interval of 362.8 days. His dam, Caroline, was the first cow in the herd to calve in the spring season for three years in a row on her second, third and fourth calves. As a virgin bull exposed to 21 heifers for 24 days, Corona settled 18, or 85% to calve in the first 3 weeks of the calving season. We expect Corona to transmit this fertility to his offspring. The cow family that Corona comes from are easy-keeping, high butterfat cows with well-above average milk volume and large hand-milking teats.
CORONA is a polled A2A2 Jersey bull that will add substance and capacity while still retaining the dairy qualities needed for high-producing cows. With BB proteins for cheese and butter production, A2A2 Beta Casein and Homozygous Polled, there is not much CORONA can’t do to make progress in a mating.
